A pdf file with the overall standings in the Mercia Championships is attached. As ever if you feel you should have navigation or help bonus points, or there is an error with the points, please contact Jim Tinnion at development@merciafellrunners.org.uk

There is a list of the runners in prizewinning positions below. There are four races left (max. 42 points per race) and plenty of time to marshall or complete a navigation event (24) bonus points each). Remember the Wrekin Orienteers’ Christmas course on the Longmynd is a good way to get your navigation event bonus points (just email me the grid reference of the final checkpoint!). Only the King and Queen of the Mountains competitions are complete and even the outcomes of these may change if the overall placings change. It isn’t all over until the Christmas
orienteering course is taken down...

New runners are those joining in 2012 or 2013

No-one winning an age category prize is eligible for a special prize

There are four awards which are determined by the Committee following nominations from the membership as a whole:

• Outstanding Achievement – awarded to someone who had done something outstanding within Mercia that could not have been done by anyone else at that time;
• Long Distance Award – for the best performance in a long distance race or challenge in the past year;
• Ray Myers Trophy – for the person over 60 who the committee feels has performed the best over the past 12 months;
• Spirit of Fell Running Trophy – for the person from Mercia who has shown to possess the true Spirit!
